Tuition Fees
Ravensbourne sets prices based on programme level. The Foundation Diploma costs £14,500 — a preparatory stage before main studies. Bachelor’s programmes run £17,000 annually, with this amount fixed for the entire duration and only revised for new intakes. Master’s degrees require larger investments: MA and MSc programmes are priced at £18,000, while an MBA costs £19,500, and the MFA reaches £24,000. The difference reflects intensity and focus — MFA creative workshops include more hands-on sessions and individual mentoring.
Discounts for Programme Transitions
Ravensbourne has designed an attractive refund system for those who complete Foundation internally. The preparatory course fee gets returned evenly across three years of bachelor’s study, which means students effectively receive Foundation free by spreading this benefit throughout their undergraduate period. However, the discount doesn’t apply to repeated years if someone falls behind schedule. There’s also a £1,000 bonus for early payment of the full amount, which must be submitted at least 28 days before the course starts. The exception is BSc Business Management with International Year One, where this benefit isn’t available for technical reasons.
Financial Support at Ravensbourne University
Foundation and Access to HE students can’t access maintenance loans from Student Finance, since these funds are reserved for undergraduates. The university offers its own scholarships for those aged 19 and over, including the 16-19 Bursary Fund, free meals through Ravensbourne’s meal programme, the Student Support Service Award for unexpected expenses, and an Advanced Learner Loan grant that offsets costs for travel, food, or study materials. Applications open in August, though payments only begin after full enrolment on the course.
